Children's Museum Singapore: A Full Guide for Parents with Toddlers

While scrolling through social media, I came across a place I just knew my baby would love. So, some time ago, I brought her along to check it out — the Children's Museum Singapore. And just as I expected, she loved it so much!

Getting There

We got off at Clarke Quay MRT, then hopped on a bus for just one stop 😂. It's near Funan Mall — after the bus stop, walk back a little and turn at the junction, and you'll spot the museum right after the turn.

Booking Tip

I had booked the 4:00PM slot, but since we arrived around 3:30PM, we waited outside. As walk-in visitors, we had to queue and were only let in about 10 minutes after opening, since guests who booked online got priority entry. My tip: book your slot online in advance to guarantee entry — don't wing it like I did! 😂

Admission

Entry is free for Singaporeans and PRs. For foreigners/tourists, it's SGD10 per child and SGD15 per adult, with a family package at SGD40 (2 children + 2 adults). Do note that only children below 12 years old are allowed entry.

Exploring the Museum

The museum has two floors. On the 2nd floor, there's a Playpot for toddlers and infants under 4 — playtime here is limited to 15 minutes, and only one guardian can go in with the child. We headed there first, and my baby had a blast with the pretend-play kitchen, pushing the little food cart around and playing with the kitchen tools.

After our 15 minutes were up, we explored the rest of the floor. Besides the Playpot, there's also a pretend-play hawker stall and a LEGO area. My baby wandered around and explored on her own, and even tried out a little tracking path.

On the 1st floor, we watched A Voyage Back in Time by WonderBot before "teleporting" back to olden-day Singapore. We wandered through a recreated market and barber shop, checked out a cargo ship, and she even got to ride a vintage postman's delivery scooter! She was all smiles, and we ended up playing right until the museum closed.
